Kim Go-eun Is Back as Yumi: "Yumi's Cells" Season 3 Premieres April 13

Tving’s flagship franchise "Yumi's Cells" is returning for Season 3.

The Tving Original "Yumi's Cells" Season 3 (written by Song Jae-jung and Kim Kyung-ran; directed by Lee Sang-yeob) drops Monday, April 13. On the 11th, the team unveiled a teaser poster featuring actor Kim Go-eun’s bright smile―pure “Yumi energy”―and amped up the excitement.

"Yumi's Cells" won big love for its fresh blend of live action and 3D animation. It captured Yumi’s everyday life and love story with wit, warmth, and realness―sparking plenty of squeals, laughs, and nods from viewers.

Back after three years, Season 3 follows Yumi (played by Kim Go-eun), now a star author, whose calm, low-drama routine gets rocked by an unexpected new face―reigniting a cell-stirring romance that will make fans laugh, cry, and fall in love all over again. After achieving her dream, Yumi’s once-still “cell village” springs back to life with an unpredictable love story. Anticipation is high with Kim Go-eun in the lead, rising youth actor Kim Jae-won joining the cast, and the trusted reunion of director Lee Sang-yeob with writers Song Jae-jung and Kim Kyung-ran.

The teaser poster spotlights Yumi’s radiant smile. The line “It’s been a while―my heart feels all soft again” signals the start of a new chapter that will shake up her cell village. Fan-favorite cells are back in action―from the Love Cell that stole the show last season to the Writer Cell, plus the True Feelings, Emotional, and Pride Cells that cry and laugh with Yumi. A new cell, sporting a heart on its head and holding the number 3 for the third season, also teases fresh chaos to come.

Kim Jae-won plays Soon-rok, a PD in the editorial team at Julie Publishing, who delivers sweet looks with blunt truth bombs. He’s Yumi’s in-house PD―full of unexpected charm―while Yumi remains a successful romance novelist who still finds love hard. Curiosity is high for how Kim Go-eun and Kim Jae-won will bring this soft-and-swoony noona?younger man romance to life. The ensemble also includes Jeon Seok-ho, Choi Daniel, Jo Hye-jung, Mi-ram, and Park Se-in, with special appearances by Sung Ji-ru, Yoon Yoo-sun, and Lee Yoo-bi.

Tving’s "Yumi's Cells" Season 3 will pre-release two episodes every Monday at 6 p.m. on Tving starting April 13, and air one episode each Monday and Tuesday at 8:50 p.m. on tvN.
