'The King's Warden' Nears 12 Million; Stars Reunite for March 17 Fan Greeting

The film “The King's Warden” will hold a box office thank-you stage greeting at Megabox COEX on March 17.

Joining the event are the film’s leads Yoo Hae-jin, Park Ji-hoon, Yoo Ji-tae, Jeon Mi-do, Kim Min, and director Jang Hang-jun―plus key players Lee Jun-hyeok, Kim Su-jin, and Park Ji-yoon.

The director and cast will personally thank moviegoers and hand out special gifts. Ticketing for theaters hosting the Tuesday, March 17 stage greeting will open in phases. For details, check Showbox’s official social channels and the Megabox mobile app and website.

Set in 1457 in Cheongnyeongpo, “The King's Warden” follows a village head who volunteers for exile to revive his town, and a young former king who has been dethroned and banished. The film surpassed 10 million admissions in 31 days, then hit 11 million in 33 days. As of the 11th, it has drawn 11.88 million viewers―making a 12 million milestone all but certain this week.
