“We promised our fans that we’d be back.”
BTS has dropped a trailer teasing a live performance at Gwanghwamun Plaza, sending anticipation through the roof.
At 9 a.m. KST on the 5th, the group released the trailer and poster for “BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE | ARIRANG” on their official social channels.
The clip opens with the thunderous chants and cheers of ARMY from past concerts. Hearing it, the members share how much they miss fans, voicing feelings like “I really want to see them.”

RM’s narration ― “We promised our fans that we’d be back” ― cuts in as the scene shifts to Gyeongbokgung Palace. Against the palace by day and by night, the members command the frame. On-screen lines ― “THE WORLD’S BIGGEST BAND IS BACK” and “WITNESS THE HOMECOMING” ― push excitement to a peak.
The members add, “I really felt like things were changing, one by one,” and, “The seven of us can keep walking this road together, and we can keep swimming forward,” signaling their resolve for a new chapter. The accompanying poster spotlights the seven members’ silhouettes standing in front of Gwanghwamun, drawing eyes.
BTS will release their fifth full-length album, “ARIRANG,” on the 20th, and host the comeback live the next day, the 21st, at 8 p.m. KST around Seoul’s Gwanghwamun Plaza. Hamish Hamilton ― known for directing the London 2012 Opening Ceremony and the Super Bowl Halftime Show ― will direct, setting the stage for a global-scale event. Fans who can’t make it in person can watch live on Netflix from anywhere in the world.
The title track “SWIM” from “ARIRANG” expresses the determination to keep moving through life’s waves without stopping. It frames the will to ride the current at one’s own pace as “a love for life.” RM took the lead on the lyrics, adding sincerity to the song’s message.
