After a stinging comeback loss, "Kick a Goal"’s FC Balladream is laser-focused on securing its first win against FC National Team Family.
On the March 4 episode of SBS’s "Kick a Goal", the third match of Group B in the 2nd G League will unfold. It’s FC National Team Family, fresh off its first win via penalty shootout, versus an FC Balladream that’s gone full “dark mode” after that heartbreaking reversal.
The two teams meet again after about one year and four months. Head-to-head, National Team Family leads 2-1 across three games. But Balladream has regrouped and leveled up, making this showdown too close to call. All eyes are on whether a fired-up Balladream can grab a much-needed win against the widely acknowledged “strongest team,” National Team Family.
Balladream’s midseason pickup Kim Bo-kyung, who sat out the last match with an injury, is back on the field. Ahead of her first game since the move, teammates cheered, “We’re so excited. Thanks to you, today we can prove we’re a powerhouse.” Kim responded, “It feels so reassuring to be on Balladream’s side. Since it’s my first game, I want to win and share that joy with the team.” With “New Hope” Kim Bo-kyung leading the charge, fans can expect an upgraded Balladream performance.
To counter National Team Family’s imposing physicality, Balladream has prepped a full game plan. Coach Lee Geun-ho ordered a “position switching” strategy to crack their ironclad defense, with players rotating fluidly to disrupt the back line. Anchored by “pass master” Seogi, the “Sam-seo” trio of Seogi, Gyeongseo, and Minseo will weave tight passing patterns―then look to finish with the razor-sharp scoring of “Kick Bo-kyung” Kim Bo-kyung to punch through the goalmouth in one sweep.
Word is, Balladream kept generating chances all game with standout, high-precision pass work, relentlessly pressing National Team Family. Can Coach Lee’s tailored tactics harden Balladream into a true contender and spark a climb up the group standings?
FC Balladream’s burning push for its first win―fueled by the return of “Hope” Kim Bo-kyung―unfolds tonight (the 4th) at 9 p.m. on "Kick a Goal".
