BIGBANG, who teased activities for their 20th debut anniversary, will partner with YG Entertainment for a global tour this year.

On the 4th, YG Entertainment posted “2026 YG PLAN | YG ANNOUNCEMENT” on its official blog. About six months after last August, executive producer Yang Hyun-suk appeared in an interview to personally share YG’s major plans for the year.

Ahead of this, BIGBANG signaled a comeback for their 20th anniversary, drawing intense interest from global music fans. Yang said, “We’ve agreed with the BIGBANG members to hold concerts.”

The move both celebrates BIGBANG’s 20-year music journey and marks a fresh show of “YG family-ship” as YG and BIGBANG, who helped shape K-pop together, reunite. “We’ve worked together for so long that I don’t expect difficulties,” Yang added. “All of YG’s staff will do their best to deliver a perfect, outstanding show.”

YG also previewed plans for BABYMONSTER and TREASURE.

First up, BABYMONSTER will release a mini album in May and a second full album this fall. “The mini album’s title track is ‘CHOOM,’ which means ‘dance’ in Korean,” Yang said. “The Korean font looks very cool―there’s an Eastern vibe, like a person opening their arms to dance.” Starting in June, BABYMONSTER will launch a larger-scale second world tour spanning Latin America, Europe, and Oceania.

TREASURE will kick off a new chapter with a mini album dropping in June. “The members suddenly came to me saying they wanted to do hip-hop, which surprised me,” Yang shared. “As they wished, when you hear this album, you’ll be shocked―in a good way―that TREASURE can do this kind of music. Expect something they’ve never shown before: stylish, YG-esque music.”

“YG celebrates its 30th anniversary this year,” Yang noted. “Rather than getting sentimental, I want to say we’ll keep our original spirit and continue making music here for the next 40, 50 years. Since last year, we’ve done our best to power active promotions for BABYMONSTER and TREASURE. We’ll polish the results to shine even brighter and bring you good news all year long.”

Meanwhile, the outlines of YG’s new groups previewed last year have become clearer. On-screen captions read, “We’re preparing a new boy group targeting the fall,” and “Following EVELLI and CHANYA, we’ll soon reveal the remaining two members of four-piece girl group Next Monster (working title).”
