A Brazilian woman in her 30s accused of stalking BTS member JUNGKOOK by repeatedly visiting his home has been indicted and remains in custody.
According to the Herald Economy on the 3rd, the Women and Children Crime Investigation Department of the Seoul Western District Prosecutors’ Office indicted the Brazilian national, identified as A, on May 27 for violating the Stalking Punishment Act and for trespass, and detained her pending trial.
Prosecutors say A went to JUNGKOOK’s residence 23 times between December 7 and January 4. She allegedly pressed the doorbell hundreds of times, waited near the building, and left letters and other mail.
Per the Herald Economy report, A was issued an emergency order late December prohibiting contact and approach. She allegedly ignored it and returned to JUNGKOOK’s residence in early January. Authorities say she continued her conduct even after receiving the emergency order.
On December 13, A allegedly slipped into a side entrance after a food delivery worker opened and exited the door, leading to a trespass charge. Police had also forwarded an additional count of attempted trespass, but prosecutors reviewed CCTV and found insufficient evidence for that count, dropping it.
During questioning, A largely acknowledged the facts but claimed she had no intent to harm, saying she acted “out of love” for JUNGKOOK. Prosecutors determined the behavior constituted repeated, ongoing stalking and moved forward with an in-custody indictment.
This is not the first reported incident at JUNGKOOK’s home. In June last year, the Yongsan Police Station in Seoul arrested a Chinese woman in her 30s as a flagrant offender on suspicion of attempted trespass after she repeatedly entered the door code at his residence on the night of June 11, 2024.
