FC Streaming Fighter has revamped its formation and is signaling The Whirlwind on the field.
On February 25, SBS’s Kick a Goal will air the fifth Group B qualifier of the 2nd G League. The episode features FC Actionista, riding momentum after their first win of the reboot season, facing FC Streaming Fighter, who are looking to rebound from an opening loss.
The two teams meet again after about 1 year and 5 months, with the head-to-head record tied at one win apiece across two matches. With Group B standings on the line, expect a fierce showdown. Can Streaming Fighter grab a crucial first win and shake up the table?
The biggest spotlight is on the “Park vs. Park” ace duel: FC Actionista’s “Fantasy Star” Park Ji-an vs. FC Streaming Fighter’s “Golden Maknae” Park Jua. Longtime friends even before Jua joined the team, the two will now face off as rivals with no room for mercy.
Youngest player Park Jua previously declared at Media Day, “I’ll surpass Park Ha-yan and Park Ji-an to become the best ‘Park’ on Kick a Goal.” After dealing with muscle cramps in her debut, she doubled down on high-intensity conditioning to make sure she’s ready for payback. Not to be outdone, “Fantasian” Park Ji-an aimed a jab during warmups: “Any ball Park Jua strikes will only hit the post.” All eyes are on how these ace maknaes―Park Ji-an and Park Jua―will tilt the match.
Head coach Cho Jae-jin has rolled out a major tactical shift for FC Streaming Fighter against powerhouse FC Actionista. True to his reputation as a build-up specialist, he’s asked the squad―who had favored all-out attack―to focus on building from the back. He’s also reinstated the quick-footed “Sgt. Kkang” Kkang Mi in goal, and placed “born in 2004 ‘major leaguer’” Park Jua in defense to stabilize the back line and spark rapid counters. The “Golden Maknae” Park Jua reportedly impressed the crowd with seamless two-way play, switching between attack and defense all match long. Up front, “ace goal-getter” Shim Euddeum and “Modri-Choong” Yoon Tae-jin vowed to press high and convert their chances. With Coach Cho’s “build-up master” touch, fans are watching to see if Streaming Fighter can clinch their first win of the season.
FC Streaming Fighter’s bold first-win push under Coach Cho’s daring tactics will unfold on Kick a Goal at 9 p.m. on the 25th.
