MC Mong Firmly Denies Prostitution Allegations: "She's My Girlfriend, and They're Friends"

Singer MC Mong has strongly denied prostitution allegations.

Speaking to Ilgan Sports, MC Mong refuted the claims and said one of the women in question is his girlfriend. “Who would pay for sex with his own girlfriend?” he said. “The man with me is a younger friend I know. Among the three women, one is my girlfriend, another is my girlfriend’s acquaintance, and the last one was someone I met for the first time there.”

He continued, “We spent about two to three hours together. Then, because I had decided to leave my company (One Hundred), I suddenly began discussing related matters with Chairman Cha Ga-won. The friends gave us privacy.” He added, “I don’t know what those friends did in the past. Is it right to dig up prostitution suspicions and say things about my girlfriend?” pushing back hard against the report.

On February 4, TV Chosun’s program “Shintongbangtong” laid out the prostitution allegations involving MC Mong. An Ilyo Sisa reporter shared elevator CCTV footage from MC Mong’s apartment building, claiming, “After residents living in the same building as MC Mong recently reported, ‘We think there’s prostitution happening in our apartment,’ the management office checked for an investigation and then released the footage.”

Previously, MC Mong faced allegations of an affair with p_Arc Group Chairman Cha Ga-won and of overseas gambling, putting him at the center of back-to-back controversies. Formerly the chief producer at One Hundred, he has left the company, is working on music, and is communicating with fans through online broadcasts.
