Ha Ji-young: "Jo In-sung Asked to Come on My YouTube First ― I Spaced Out For 10 Seconds"

Actor Jo In-sung honored his long-time bond with broadcaster Ha Ji-young.

On the 4th, Ha Ji-young shared on her social media that Jo In-sung, the lead of the film “HUMINT,” would appear on her YouTube channel, with the episode going live today.

“It was the definition of unexpected,” she wrote. “From when we first met during 2006’s ‘A Dirty Carnival,’ to a ‘Hanbam’ interview, after his military discharge, and most recently at the ‘Smugglers’ showcase―he’s been the same, through and through.”

She emphasized that Jo In-sung was the one who suggested the YouTube appearance. “I still remember standing frozen for over 10 seconds after a call from the film company,” she said. “He told me, ‘There aren’t really professional interviewers on YouTube. That makes it easier for me doing it with you,’ and started the interview without forgetting to cheer me on as an interviewer. He created the interview I’d always wanted to do.”

About Jo In-sung, she added, “From his playful, approachable side to an easy, comforting presence; the deep thoughts we’ve never seen elsewhere; the weight of time he’s felt while acting; and his quiet consideration. For someone as straightforward and masculine as he is, some of it could’ve felt a little cheesy, but he still shared his direction, taste, and hard-earned stories without holding back. It was the interview I’ve truly wanted to try.”

The Jo In-sung episode of “YouTube Ha Ji-young” drops on the 4th at 6 p.m.
