Kim Da-hyun Sues Former Agency Over Unpaid Fees, Files Civil & Criminal Complaints

Singer Kim Da-hyun has launched civil and criminal proceedings against her former agency, alleging unpaid appearance fees and other settlements.

Her team said on the 4th that despite multiple requests for an accounting since last November, the company failed to pay Kim’s appearance fees and income from events starting with September-October 2025, adding that negotiations had effectively collapsed. They noted that, to protect the mental well-being and rights of a teenage artist, legal action became unavoidable.

Late last month, Kim’s side filed for a payment order with the Seoul Central District Court and began attachment proceedings. Earlier this month, they also filed criminal complaints with the Seoul Gangnam Police Station, accusing agency representatives of fraud and embezzlement.

Inui Law, representing Kim, emphasized that the move is not about smearing individuals or escalating conflict, but an unavoidable step to secure fair compensation and protect her rights.

After terminating her contract with the former agency over alleged breaches and a breakdown of trust, Kim moved to Hyun Company in late November of last year and has continued her music career there.
