Singer Jung Dong-won, who is set to enlist in the Marine Corps on February 23, has been tapped as the new advertising model for ChorogUsan for Children.
On January 30, the nonprofit announced Jung’s selection, noting that his steady charitable work has helped expand a cycle of “good influence.”
Jung’s official fan club has been leading ongoing donation drives across multiple causes.
On January 29, the Korean Red Cross said the fan club donated roughly 18,000 HMR packs of Hanchon seolleongtang (ox-bone soup) to support vulnerable communities through the winter.
Inspired by his fans’ giving culture, Jung joined the planning of an easy-to-participate charity product and will front ChorogUsan for Children’s new ad campaign as well.
His combined philanthropy and campaign work continue to widen his positive impact―perfectly aligning his warm, earnest image with ChorogUsan for Children’s mission to support children’s welfare.
Meanwhile, Jung will release a new mini album, ‘Collection of Props Vol. 2’, on February 5. Before enlistment, he’ll host a special fan concert on February 13 at KINTEX in Ilsan, then begin his mandatory service.
