Kim Hye-yoon is on a collision course with Lee Si-woo in "No Tail to Tell".
Ahead of Episode 5, dropping Jan. 30, SBS released new stills of Eun-ho (Kim Hye-yoon) and Kang Si-yeol (Lomon) heading back into the mountains―only to cross paths with a “mysterious woman” (Lee Si-woo) who’s the spitting image of Geum-ho, the gumiho who became human centuries ago and died tragically.
Previously, Eun-ho earned her humanity after saving Si-yeol’s life―losing her powers in the process. That twist also wiped out Si-yeol’s chance to undo his fated clash with Hyun Woo-seok (played by Jang Dong-joo). Convinced another gumiho might be out there, Si-yeol and Eun-ho began their trek up Seoraksan. The episode ended with a jolt: a buried memory in which Eun-ho sees Si-yeol driving a blade into her chest.
Now, the duo return fully geared for a second ascent―with a risky plan to “get lost” and lure supernatural help. As dusk settles, a young woman appears before them, lantern in hand. Her delicate aura and traditional styling set her apart from any ordinary hiker, and her face―eerily identical to Geum-ho’s―stops Eun-ho cold, stirring a flash of shock and sorrow.
Producers are keeping the newcomer’s identity under wraps. Is she human, gumiho, or Geum-ho reborn? However it shakes out, the creative team teases that this enigmatic figure will prove pivotal to what comes next.
"No Tail to Tell" Episode 5 airs Friday, Jan. 30 at 9:50 p.m. KST on SBS.
