LomonSBS’s Friday-Saturday drama ‘No Tail to Tell’ (written by Park Chan-young and Cho Ah-young, directed by Kim Jung-kwon) keeps viewers on their toes with twisty, anything-can-happen turns. After Kang Si-yeol (Lomon) and Jang Do-cheol (Kim Tae-woo) pay an unexpected price tied to Hyun Woo-seok’s (Jang Dong-joo) wish, Eun-ho ― a gumiho ― saves Si-yeol’s life and earns karmic credit in the process. With these once-untouchable characters crashing from the top to rock bottom ― and a gumiho becoming human ― curiosity about what comes next is only growing.

Episode by episode, Lomon’s drawing rave notices. In his first lead turn in a romantic comedy, he’s turned early buzz into full-on confidence in just four episodes, pairing sure-footed acting with heart-fluttering visuals. His take on Kang Si-yeol’s whiplash life ― from a pure, dream-chasing kid to a self-loving world-class soccer star, then a fallen idol after a twist of fate ― lands with color and range, his expressions shifting on a dime and stealing focus every time he’s on screen.

Beyond his rom-com-ready chops and looks, his chemistry with Kim Hye-yoon is exceeding expectations. Eun-ho and Si-yeol start as reluctant antagonists, get bound by a wish in a lopsided power dynamic, and eventually become each other’s unlikely lifeline in their “failed life” era. As the two quietly seep into each other’s worlds, Lomon and Kim craft a blend of breezy fun and gentle ache ― even their bickering crackles with a swoony spark.

In the latest episode, Si-yeol is used as bait in Jang Do-cheol’s “fox hunt” and nearly dies. Eun-ho pulls him back from the brink, but the cost is steep: Eun-ho loses his powers and becomes human. Clinging to the hope that another gumiho can restore his fate in Eun-ho’s stead, Si-yeol searches for answers ― but the pair find neither a gumiho nor any sign of divine will. Then, in a haunting image from Eun-ho’s unconscious, he comes face-to-face with Si-yeol plunging a blade into his chest, cranking the tension to an unexpected high.

‘No Tail to Tell’ airs Episode 5 on Friday, the 30th, at 9:50 p.m. Ahead of that, a refresher special ― ‘No Tail to Tell: Episodes 1-4 Highlight’ ― airs tonight (the 28th) at 10:50 p.m.
