Choi Hyo-joo Lands Lead in Director Lee Byung-hun's Short-Form Rom-Com 'My Baby Daddy Is My Best Friend'

Rising actress Choi Hyo-joo will star in director Lee Byung-hun’s new short-form series “My Baby Daddy Is My Best Friend.”

The rom-com follows two long-time besties who’ve never dated or married―but wind up co-parenting, chaos and chemistry included. The series will premiere exclusively on Lezhin Entertainment’s new short-form platform, Lezhin Snack, as one of its launch titles.

Buzz is high with Lee Byung-hun―celebrated for his sharp, witty touch in films "Twenty" and "Extreme Job" and the cult-favorite drama "Be Melodramatic"―on both script and direction.

Choi plays Je-ah, who asks her male best friend Gu-in (Kim Shin-bi) to step in as her baby’s dad. Blindsided by an unexpected pregnancy, she chooses responsibility and grows through co-parenting―finding quick-fire banter, slow-burn romance, and warm family beats along the way.

Choi made her debut in the campus web series "Friends: Seoyeon University, Class of ’22" and quickly drew notice for her polished presence and steady acting. She later portrayed star sports anchor Kang Eun-gyo in KBS N’s web drama "Reunion Counseling", earning praise for her nuanced emotional range. She’s also appeared in multiple brand campaigns and music videos, leaving a strong impression with viewers.

All episodes of "My Baby Daddy Is My Best Friend" drop February 4 exclusively on Lezhin Snack.
