Park Ji-hwan·Lee Jun-hyuk·Ahn Jae-hong Make Surprise Cameos in 'The King's Warden' ― Here Is Who They Play

Actors Park Ji-hwan, Lee Jun-hyuk and Ahn Jae-hong pop up for special appearances in the historical drama film "The King's Warden", which explores a little-told chapter tied to the deposed young monarch Danjong.

Set in 1457 in Cheongnyeongpo, the film follows a village head who volunteers his town as an exile site to revive the local economy―and a young former king banished from the throne.

Park Ji-hwan―who’s shown serious range across "The Roundup" franchise and the comedy "Handsome Guys"―plays the magistrate of Yeongwol County. Through Gwangcheon Village chief Eom Heung-do (Yoo Hae-jin), the magistrate receives reports on the daily life of exiled Lee Hong-wi (Park Ji-hoon). With Park’s signature mix of wry humor and gravitas, the magistrate is poised to both steer Yeongwol and inject the film with energy.
Lee Jun-hyuk―fresh off a scene-stealing villain turn in "The Roundup: No Way Out" and a romantic lead in the series "Love Scout"―cameos as Prince Geumseong. Already a talking point among fans, the prince moves to restore his nephew Lee Hong-wi to power, ratcheting up the stakes. In a new still, his steely gaze under armor hints at a resolute, battle-ready royal, stoking curiosity about Lee’s take on the role.

Ahn Jae-hong―who’s earned praise for distinctive turns in "HI-FIVE," Rebound and the hit series "Mask Girl"―shows up as the chief of neighboring Noru Village. Already thriving as an official exile site, Noru’s chief goes head-to-head with Eom Heung-do to win the designation again, forming an unpredictable, odd-couple rivalry. With Park, Lee and Ahn each bringing distinct flavors, their ensemble promises to fill in a compelling “blank page” of history with texture and spark.

"The King's Warden" opens February 4, 2026, just ahead of Lunar New Year.
