Netflix has officially ordered a new season of the hit mystery game show franchise "Crime Scene".
The role-playing whodunit, in which cast members slip into the roles of suspects and detectives to smoke out the culprit hiding in plain sight, will return in an upgraded season of "Crime Scene Zero".
Producer Yoon Hyun-jun said, “It took a minute to work up the nerve to do it again, but with Netflix’s full-throttle support, we’re ready to build a season that balances going ‘back to basics’ with real ‘evolution.’ Huge thanks to the fans for the love and feedback every season―please keep rooting for us.”
Launched last year on Netflix, "Crime Scene Zero" drew raves as the franchise’s most ambitious chapter yet. The expanded scale, tightly built universe, and meticulously crafted cases―honed by years of production know-how―sparked a fervent response. With a colorful lineup of players delivering standout character work, plus cleverly planted twists and razor-sharp, rapid-fire banter, the series amped up the thrill of its anything-can-happen deduction battles.
In a world where no one can be trusted and anyone could be the killer, the show delivered edge-of-your-seat immersion. Its unique blend of nail-biting tension and laugh-out-loud moments―driven by the players’ evolving storylines, seamless back-and-forth, and sly psychological warfare―hooked viewers around the globe on the "Crime Scene" universe at first watch. Curiosity is already building over what fresh gameplay, world-building, and storytelling the new season will unleash.
