“Golden,” the breakout hit that has dominated the U.S. music scene in 2025, just nabbed the Golden Globe for Best Original Song.
At the 83rd Golden Globe Awards, held Jan. 12 (KST) at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, the Netflix animated feature "KPop Demon Hunters" took home Best Original Song for its theme track “Golden.”
"KPop Demon Hunters" scored three nominations overall: Best Animated Feature, Best Original Song for “Golden,” and Cinematic and Box Office Achievement.
“Golden” clinched the win over heavyweight contenders from major titles including "Avatar: Fire and Ash," "Sinners," and "Wicked." The victory felt inevitable―since the film’s release, “Golden” has been a phenomenon, ruling the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 1 for eight weeks.
After also winning the Critics Choice Award for best song, "KPop Demon Hunters" now heads into the Oscars as a leading contender in the Original Song race.
