TWS JIHOON's Father Passes Away; Fans Recall His "Dad, Did I Do Well?" Moment

TWS member JIHOON is mourning the death of his father.

On Jan. 12, Pledis Entertainment shared that JIHOON’s father passed away the evening of Jan. 11 after his condition rapidly worsened during treatment.

JIHOON is currently at the memorial. The funeral will be held privately with family and close relatives, and the agency asked for space and warm condolences so he can grieve with his loved ones. “We extend our deepest sympathies to JIHOON and his family,” the statement read.

TWS appeared at the 40th Golden Disc Awards at Taipei Dome on Jan. 10.

Fans were especially moved remembering a moment from the group’s first standalone concert last June, when JIHOON looked to the crowd and said, “Dad, did I do well?”

After seven years as a trainee, JIHOON officially debuted in January 2024 as a member of TWS.
