Yoo Jae-suk Calls Choo Young-woo a 'You Quiz on the Block' Discovery on 'Whenever Possible'

Yoo Jae-suk gave a shout-out to his history with Choo Young-woo, calling back to their "You Quiz on the Block" days.

The December 23 episode of SBS's "Whenever Possible" doubled as a Christmas special, with Choo Young-woo and Shin Si-a dropping by as guests.

Shin Si-a looked genuinely startled to see Yoo in person, drawing laughs. "It's my first time meeting Si-a, but Young-woo and I go way back," Yoo cracked.

"When Young-woo was in college, we interviewed him on 'You Quiz on the Block,'" he added. "I can't say the show raised him, but we did discover a gem."

Yoo Yeon-seok chimed in that the producer of "Even If This Love Disappears from the World Tonight", the film the two guests appear in, is a senior colleague who asked him to look after them. "There's not much I can do―it's on you two to shine," he joked.

When Shin Si-a mentioned she'd once appeared on a cooking variety show, Yoo replied, "Right, I think I saw it," prompting her playful disbelief and another round of laughs.

Shin Si-a admitted she'd only watched Yoo on TV until now, saying this was the most nerve-racking schedule since her debut. She added that she'd practiced a lot and was determined to ace the show's mission challenge.
