Singer and visual artist Solbi kept her annual tradition of giving alive for the 13th year.

On Dec. 16, she visited Gyeongdongwon, an infant care facility in Suwon, Gyeonggi Province, spending a festive afternoon with the kids and donating funds to support the center.

Volunteering every year since 2013, Solbi once again planned a slate of games and activities herself. She tapped stand-up comedian Kim Dong-ha to host, and he happily joined in―bringing plenty of laughs to both the children and their teachers. Actor Song Yi-woo also took part, getting on the kids’ level to make the day extra special.

She didn’t come empty-handed, either. XOPlay supplied “The Haunted House” toys, and the Theodore Roosevelt Association donated teddy bears for a second straight year―joining Solbi in spreading the warmth. Haebangchon Dak also returned as a sponsor, covering lunch with its signature herbal whole roasted chicken.

“Meeting the kids is how I truly wrap up my year,” Solbi said. “I want them to know there are older friends cheering them on every single year. Monetary donations are great, but I also want to sit with them, talk with them, and make a positive impact face-to-face.”

“At year’s end, Solbi’s visit has become a can’t-miss event for our facility. The kids really look forward to it,” said Gyeongdongwon director Shin Seung-joo. “It’s not easy to come every year, and she still shows up with armfuls of gifts―we’re truly grateful.”

Meanwhile, Solbi recently made her screenwriting debut with the short-form drama “My Ex Is a Top Star,” and she’s showcasing new sides of herself on her YouTube channel. She’s also deep into studio time preparing for a solo exhibition set for next year.
