SOMI Makes Her Hollywood Lead Debut as Thriller 'Perfect Girl' Wraps

"Perfect Girl," a Hollywood feature led by K-pop star SOMI, has officially wrapped filming.

On Dec. 19, Korean production powerhouse Zanybros announced that the long-gestating project has completed principal photography.

Billed as a psychological thriller, "Perfect Girl" follows a string of mysterious incidents sparked by the cutthroat race to select members of a soon-to-debut K-pop girl group. The film is a co-production with Badlands and Thunder Road.

Zanybros says "Perfect Girl" marries the company’s 20-plus years of K-pop content-making with Hollywood-scale filmmaking, positioning the movie as a springboard for more global projects.

SOMI toplines the feature in her acting debut. Arden Cho and May Hong ― both attached to Netflix’s animated project "KPop Demon Hunters" ― have joined the cast. They’re joined by Adeline Rudolph, John Harlan Kim, Lee Jae-yoon, NANCY of MOMOLAND, SIYOON of Billlie, and Park Chaerin of Cherry Bullet.
