Comedian Park Na-rae, 40, has addressed the firestorm sparked by claims from her former managers, saying she will verify the facts through legal channels rather than arguing them in public.

On Dec. 16, Park posted a self-recorded video on the YouTube channel “Baek Eun-young’s Golden Time,” acknowledging that the recent controversy has caused “worry and fatigue” for many.

She added that she has voluntarily stepped down from all of her shows to avoid creating confusion or pressure for production teams and colleagues. “There are factual issues that must be confirmed calmly through the legal process, and I won’t be making additional public statements while that proceeds,” she said.

Park’s former managers have accused her of workplace abuse and verbal harassment, forcing staff to organize heavy drinking gatherings and to drink, causing injury, and embezzlement. They also alleged she received an illegal medical procedure from an unlicensed individual―a claim that quickly sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry.

Emphasizing that the matter is now in the hands of the law, Park said, “This isn’t about personal feelings or relationships; it should be examined objectively through official procedures. This isn’t about blaming someone or assigning fault―it’s about setting aside emotion and allowing the process to run its course.”

She added that she will reflect on her responsibilities and give the situation the time it needs. Park thanked supporters and said she will not comment further to avoid fueling additional controversy.

According to police, Park has been named in complaints alleging aggravated injury and violations of the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Economic Crimes. She has filed a countersuit accusing her former managers of extortion. Authorities said they will conduct a fair and thorough investigation in accordance with procedure.
