Choi Woo-shik & Jung So-min Tie the Knot in 'Would You Marry Me' Finale

Choi Woo-shik and Jung So-min closed out with a bona fide happy ending.

On the Nov. 15 episode of SBS’ Friday-Saturday drama "Would You Marry Me", Yoo Meri found her happily-ever-after with Kim Woo-joo.

Jeon Woo-joo tried to hold a press conference to expose Yoo Meri and Kim Woo-joo’s alleged scam, but Beaute Department Store shut it down. The retailer even hit Jeon with a damages claim for defamation, prompting him to break down in tears and beg Yoo Meri for help.

Jeon looked back on the past with late-blooming regret, but his family hadn’t changed. After learning about Yoo Meri and Kim Woo-joo’s relationship, they went to see Go Pil-nyeon and outed Yoo Meri’s history with Jeon Woo-joo.

When Yoo Meri visited with Kim Woo-joo, Go Pil-nyeon sent her away. Unsaid words piled up between the couple, and so did the misunderstandings.

Yoo Meri assumed Go Pil-nyeon opposed their relationship. In truth, thanks to Kim Woo-joo’s persistence, the family matriarch had decided to accept the two ― and even resolved to hand the company’s reins to him.

Go Pil-nyeon also passed down her jade ring. Quoting her advice ― that there’s a right time to confess and you should never let go of the person you want for a lifetime ― Kim Woo-joo proposed. Yoo Meri said yes.

The pair then visited Grandma to share the news and receive her blessing. Still, they chose to postpone the ceremony so newly appointed CEO Kim Woo-joo could focus on stabilizing the company first.

Meanwhile, Baek Sang-hyun decided he would no longer be Lee Sung-woo’s fall guy. Moved by Yoon Jin-kyung’s counsel, he vowed to accept punishment only for his own crimes ― and Yoon Jin-kyung backed his choice.

One year later, on the day of Kim Woo-joo and Yoo Meri’s wedding, Yoon Jin-kyung arrived with Baek Sang-hyun to celebrate the couple.

Surrounded by well-wishers, Yoo Meri reflected that her good fortune wasn’t born of lies, but of meeting the one person who loved her as she is ― Kim Woo-joo. And after a life marked by sorrow and loneliness, Kim Woo-joo found fate in the girl who appeared at his bleakest moment and became his great love.

After a long detour, they reunited, realizing every step had been leading them to each other ― and sealed it with a joyful, happily-ever-after.
