Taxi DriverSBS’s hit caper drama "Taxi Driver" is revving up for Season 3, unveiling its first teaser and hinting at a bigger, more spectacular world.

Taxi Driver 3 (written by Oh Sang-ho; directed by Kang Bo-seung) is based on the namesake webtoon and follows the shadowy taxi company Rainbow Taxi and driver Kim Do-gi, who deliver vigilante justice for victims failed by the system. With previous seasons ranking among Korea’s top-rated dramas since 2023 and peaking at 21% nationwide, anticipation is high for the franchise’s return.

Dropped on Oct. 27, the teaser spotlights those still in desperate need of Rainbow Taxi in an unchanged world. “Don’t die―let’s take revenge together,” says Jang Sung-chul (played by Kim Eui-sung), extending a hand as the team’s next mission roars to life.

This time, the fight goes global. Kim Do-gi (Lee Je-hoon) is seen liaising with Interpol, teasing cross-border takedowns. Last season, the crew dismantled an illegal gambling ring in Vietnam that lured young jobseekers overseas. In Season 3, they zero in on an illegal loan-sharking network tied to international human trafficking―promising full-on global cooperation and an amped-up scale.

The returning taxi hero brings the fireworks: signature car chases, bone-crunching hand-to-hand combat, and an upgraded lineup of undercover alter egos. With the help of global partners, the Rainbow Five’s team play looks flashier―and more satisfying―than ever, doubling down on the caper thrills.

There’s mystery, too. “There’s one more perpetrator who has never shown their face,” Do-gi warns, as unpredictable cases and ruthless new villains emerge. A final tagline―“The Beginning and the End of Taxi Driver”―cranks the intrigue to the max.

"Taxi Driver 3" aims to deliver a jolt of catharsis while staring down grim realities. Selected for 2025 production support by South Korea’s Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Communications Agency (KCA), the SBS Friday=Saturday series is slated to premiere in November.
