KATSEYE Rockets Past 30 Million Monthly Spotify Listeners, Books Coachella Debut

HYBE and Geffen Records’ global girl group KATSEYE has blown past 30 million monthly listeners on Spotify, extending a breakout run just two years into their debut.

As of Sept. 16, Spotify reports KATSEYE at 30,003,843 monthly listeners―more than triple their tally from early this year, an eye-popping feat for a sophomore act.

Only a handful of K-pop artists have crossed the 30 million mark on Spotify, and doing so in year two is rare. During their debut EP "SIS (Soft Is Strong)" era, the group hovered around 8.19 million listeners (as of August 2024). They topped 10 million early this year, then surged into the 25 million range in June on the back of their second EP, "BEAUTIFUL CHAOS." Within a month, they added another 5 million to vault past 30 million.

Their growing stature is showing on the festival circuit, too. After commanding stages at Lollapalooza Chicago and Japan’s Summer Sonic 2025 this summer, the sextet is locked for a Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival debut next April―a coveted “dream stage” slot that further cements their global standing.

They’re scoring on the charts as well. "BEAUTIFUL CHAOS" peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 and has spent 11 consecutive weeks on the tally. Standout cut "Gabriela" rose to a new high of No. 57 on the Billboard Hot 100 and reached No. 45 on the UK Official Singles Chart Top 100, where it’s been climbing for six straight weeks.

International media is taking note. Vogue Australia praised the group, writing that KATSEYE’s rise “signals a new era of pop that transcends music, fashion and culture.”

Formed through the global audition program "The Debut: Dream Academy," KATSEYE debuted in the U.S. in 2023. Next up: a special performance at the GRAMMY Museum on Sept. 18, followed by their first headlining North American tour in November.
