Lee Do-hyunActor Lee Do-hyun has clinched an award just seven days after his military discharge.

Lee Do-hyun was honored with the Best New Actor award for his role in the movie 'Exhuma' at the 23rd Director's Cut Awards held on the 20th. This comes just a week after completing his 21-month military service on the 13th, adding to his joy of returning to civilian life.

Notably, the Director's Cut Awards are deeply meaningful as they are organized by the Korean Film Directors' Guild (DGK), where directors themselves vote to select the nominees and winners, summarizing the year's cinematic achievements.

Before enlisting, Lee Do-hyun completed filming 'Exhuma', attracting 11.91 million viewers and earning the title of a 'ten million actor'. Making his screen debut, Lee Do-hyun stood tall as an actor who possesses both talent and popularity. Even during his military service last year, he won the Best New Actor in a Film category at the 60th Baeksang Arts Awards.

'Exhuma' is an occult mystery film that follows the bizarre events that unfold among a geomancer, a mortician, and shamans who are paid a hefty sum to relocate a suspicious grave. In the film, Lee Do-hyun plays Bong-gil, a shaman who chants incantations, showcasing a genre-defying challenge and a radical image transformation, backed by his solid acting skills.

Meanwhile, Lee Do-hyun is set to kick off his Asia fan meeting tour 'Re DO HYUN' on June 14-15 at the Sungshin Women's University Woonjung Green Campus in Seoul. He will then travel to Jakarta on June 28, Osaka on July 4, Tokyo on July 6, Taipei on July 12, Bangkok on July 19, Hong Kong on July 26, and Manila on August 2, accelerating his global activities across eight Asian regions.
