'Yadang: The Snitch' Breaks Through 3 Million in Just 27 Days, Dominating Box Office for 24 Days

The film 'Yadang: The Snitch' has shattered the 3 million nationwide audience mark just 27 days after its release.

According to the Korean Film Council's Integrated Computer Network for Cinema Tickets, as of 4:12 PM on the 12th, 'Yadang: The Snitch' has amassed an audience of 3,000,059. This makes it the second film of the year to break through the 3 million audience threshold, following 'Mickey 17'. Notably, 'Yadang: The Snitch' reached this milestone faster than 'Mickey 17', which took 39 days.

Previously, 'Yadang: The Snitch' had surpassed the records of 'Deadpool & Wolverine' in its third week, setting a new high for the most successful R-rated film released since the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.

Moreover, by holding the top spot in the overall box office for 24 days straight, it has not only surpassed this year's Korean film 'The Match' (21 days) for the most days at number one but also tied with 'Mickey 17' for the most days at number one among all of this year's releases.

'Yadang: The Snitch' is a crime action film that intertwines the lives of a drug ring broker named 'Yadang: The Snitch', a prosecutor aiming for higher grounds, and a detective betting everything on taking down drug crimes. The movie stars Kang Ha-neul, Yoo Hae-jin, and Park Hae-joon in the lead roles.
