Actor Kwak Min-gyu wrapped up his official schedule at the 26th Jeonju International Film Festival on a high note, with his film winning an award.

In "Summer's Camera," Kwak stars as a character who picks up his late father Ji-hoon's camera to capture Yeon-woo, whom he falls for at first sight. However, he ends up confronting memories from his high school days, leading to confusion for Summer (played by Kim Si-a). Kwak portrayed Du Ma-ru, Ji-hoon's past lover, and captivated audiences with his guarded demeanor towards a stranger who knows about his past. His nuanced performance, especially in conveying the emotional shifts as he listens to Summer's concerns, significantly enhanced the film's immersion.

Kwak's compelling performance in "Summer's Camera" earned him an official invitation to the 26th Jeonju International Film Festival, where he participated in everything from the opening ceremony's red carpet to a Q&A session with the audience.

At the opening ceremony on April 30, Kwak turned heads with his sleek black suit. During the Q&A session for "Summer's Camera" on May 3, he engaged in deep conversations about the film with the audience, garnering positive responses.

Moreover, "Summer's Camera," featuring Kwak in a leading role, was awarded the Nongshim Shin Ramyun Prize in the Korean Competition section of the 26th Jeonju International Film Festival, drawing significant attention from the film industry. This achievement solidifies Kwak's filmography, following his Actor Award win at the 20th Jeonju International Film Festival for "The Boy from Nowhere," further establishing his career.

Since his debut in the short film "Young Artists" in 2013, Kwak Min-gyu has made a name for himself in the independent film scene with roles in "Do You Like Chow Shing Chi?", "The Boy from Nowhere," and "Move the Grave ." His performance in the short film "Tears" won him an Actor Award at the 18th Jeonbuk Independent Film Festival, and he continued to garner acclaim with the New Actor Award at the 40th Korean Film Critics Association Awards for "Move the Grave," and both the Actor Award at the 20th Jeonju International Film Festival and the Best Male Lead Award at the 8th Wildflower Film Awards for "The Boy from Nowhere."

The anticipation for Kwak's future roles in both films and dramas is growing.
