Ma Dong-seok to Produce Boxing Survival Show 'I Am a Boxer'; Broadcasting on tvN & Streaming on OTT Platforms

Actor Ma Dong-seok is teaming up with tvN to produce the mega global survival show 'I Am a Boxer' (literal title), set to air on tvN by the end of this year and to be streamed on global OTT platforms.

Ma Dong-seok's first-ever show lead, tvN's 'I Am a Boxer', promises to be a colossal boxing survival show filled with breathtaking locations across domestic and international scenes, missions beyond imagination, and the spectacle of a Hollywood movie.

Ma Dong-seok, a boxing coach and promoter who has been practicing boxing for many years and currently runs his own boxing gym, personally planned this massive global boxing survival show, targeting the global market.

Another highlight is the location of the final round. The final will take place at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, known as the 'Mecca of Boxing', where some of the most legendary matches have occurred, promising a climactic showdown.

The production team joining forces here also adds to the anticipation. Producer Lee Won-woong, known for the military survival show 'Steel Troops' and the extreme couple survival 'Wedding Fighters', and writer Kang Suk-kyung of the global hit 'Physical: 100', are collaborating. This marks the third project for the duo, hinting at the birth of another innovative survival show.

Celebrating its 30th anniversary in the entertainment business, global IP powerhouse CJ ENM is recognized for its unmatched competitive edge in the global market with well-made content. CJ ENM's shows, in particular, have been praised for their diverse fun and concepts, leading the global popularity of K-entertainment through active overseas expansion, including format exports, remake contracts, and global OTT distribution.

Ma Dong-seok, trusting the survival-specialized production team, has chosen to collaborate with CJ ENM for a new challenge. Big Punch Sports, led by Ma Dong-seok, will participate in the production and promotion of 'I Am a Boxer', leveraging their expertise in boxing content.

Meanwhile, 'I Am a Boxer' starts its open call for contestants today (7th, Wed). Ma Dong-seok will personally select the final participants. Detailed information and application methods will be available after 4 PM today on the tvN official website's event page.
