Comedian Lee Su-ji has inked an exclusive deal with CP Entertainment.
On the first of the month, CP Entertainment announced the signing, expressing high hopes for the future with Lee Su-ji, a versatile entertainer known for her unique charm and dynamic performances across various projects. "We are committed to providing the best environment for Lee Su-ji to fully leverage her multifaceted talents," the company stated.
Lee Su-ji, who has been at the forefront of the public comedy scene, has gained recognition as a jack-of-all-trades entertainer, seamlessly transitioning between different stages. Notably, she was a key member of the 'SNL Korea' crew from Season 1 to Season 7 on Coupang Play, showcasing her acting chops. Recently, she has seen explosive popularity for her role as a confident divorcee manager in the Coupang Play series 'Office Workers' and has broadened her acting horizons as Sergeant Park Min-ju in the currently airing drama 'New Recruit Season 3'. Lee has also made memorable cameo appearances in popular Hallyu dramas such as 'Strong Girl Bong-soon', 'Queen of Tears', and 'Lovely Runner', establishing herself as a scene-stealer.
Additionally, through her YouTube channel 'Hot Issue Ji', Lee has created a variety of alter egos, garnering massive public response. Her efforts have not gone unnoticed, as she won the Comedian category at this year's 'Korea First Brand Awards' and is also a nominee for the Female Variety Show Star at the upcoming '61st Baeksang Arts Awards', highlighting her success in both comedy and acting. The partnership with CP Entertainment, a subsidiary of Coupang established in 2023 that produces hit series like 'SNL Korea' and 'Office Workers' and offers management services, is drawing keen interest.
CP Entertainment, which has expanded its footprint as a comprehensive entertainment company, also represents Shin Dong-yup and Ji Ye-eun.
