Super Junior member KyuHyun has revealed that he participated in 'The Devil's Plan 2' after deciding to shed his 'mask'.
During a press conference for the Netflix show 'The Devil's Plan: Death Room' (hereinafter referred to as 'The Devil's Plan 2') held at Hotel Naru Seoul MGallery in Mapo-gu, Seoul, on the morning of the 29th, KyuHyun shared, "After 20 years in the entertainment industry, I realized I had created a 'mask' for myself. Participating in this program, I threw away that mask and found myself expressing anger, indignation, a sense of mission, and justice that I didn't even know I had. It made me think, 'So I had this side to me'."
KyuHyun, who approached the 'The Devil's Plan 2' game with complete honesty, joked about his concerns, saying, "Seeing this side of me, I'm worried fans might turn away," which elicited laughter.
'Devil's Plan' is a brain survival game created by Jung Jong-yeon PD, known for 'Genius Game', 'Great Escape', and 'High School Mystery Club'. Players from various professions live together for seven days to compete in a survival game to determine the ultimate brain. This second season features a total of 14 players.
KyuHyun explained his reason for participating in 'The Devil's Plan 2', saying, "Lately, I've been appearing a lot on Netflix programs, usually supporting others as a panelist or MC. This time, I had the chance to be a player again after a long time. So, I thought, 'Let's just go for it, whether it turns out to be a hit or a miss'."
He added, "It was a time of hard work, fun, and happiness. I think it will stay in my memory for a very long time."
'The Devil's Plan 2' features a total of 14 players, including 'Go legend' Lee Sedol, who gained worldwide attention for defeating AlphaGo; actor Justin H.
