Mashima Yu has made a dramatic entrance into Wonder Women.
On the 23rd, the broadcast of SBS's 'Kick a Goal' revealed the player set to fill the ace position for Wonder Women.
The episode showcased the final piece of Wonder Women coming together. With Kim Hee-jung's departure and Woo Hee-jun's joining, and the ace Kim Ga-young leaving just before the season's start, Wonder Women found themselves with a gap once again.
As the match day approached amidst the crisis, the final player to join was unveiled just four days before the opening.
Coach Jo Jae-jin expressed, "I honestly didn't know who would be joining us. But I believe that as long as each member plays their role diligently, our team can become strong," sharing his words of encouragement.
Soon after, the new member was revealed. Mashima Yu, dressed in blue, made her appearance. The arrival of Mashima Yu had the Wonder Women players running towards her, screaming in excitement, and Kim Seul-hee expressed her gratitude with a deep bow to the production team.
Coach Jo Jae-jin couldn't hide his smile either. Mashima Yu said, "I'm Mashima Yu from Japan. I'm thrilled to play soccer with you all on the same team. I'm not fluent in Korean yet, but I'll do my best to communicate," she greeted in Korean, promising to do her utmost for Wonder Women to win.
Upon Mashima Yu's joining, Coach Jo Jae-jin commented, "I was surprised to see Mashima play in the Korea-Japan match. I didn't know there was a player who played soccer so well. I'm very grateful she's joined our team and believe she will be a great help."
