'The Haunted Palace' Kim Dong-hyuk Transforms into a Loyal Royal Guard to Protect King Kim Ji-hoon

Kim Dong-hyuk Actor Kim Dong-hyuk is set to take on the role of a steadfast royal guard in the upcoming SBS drama "The Haunted Palace."

On the 18th, Kim Dong-hyuk’s agency, Big Picture ENT, announced, “Kim Dong-hyuk will appear in SBS’s new Friday-Saturday drama ‘The Haunted Palace’ as Kim Geun-hoo, the royal guard who protects King Lee Jung, played by Kim Ji-hoon.”

"The Haunted Palace" (written by Yoon Soo-jung, directed by Yoon Sung-sik) is a fantasy romantic comedy that follows Yeori, a shaman who refuses her fate as a spirit medium, and Kang Cheol, an ancient serpent spirit trapped in the body of Yeori’s first love, Yoon Gap.

As they cross paths with a vengeful spirit haunting the royal family, their lives and souls become hilariously entangled in unexpected ways.

Kim Dong-hyuk will portray Kim Geun-hoo, a loyal and skilled royal guard who stands by the king’s side.

Despite his humble origins, Geun-hoo rises to his position thanks to King Lee Jung’s fair and open-minded leadership.

Viewers are eager to see the chemistry between Kim Dong-hyuk and Kim Ji-hoon as they bring this dynamic to life.

Since his debut in the 2007 drama "The Legend," Kim Dong-hyuk has built a solid reputation for his acting, appearing in series such as "Six Flying Dragons," "Three Days," films like "The Order," "The King," "Top Star," and stage productions including "Arirang Rhapsody" and "Run First."

Known for his versatility and strong screen presence, fans are looking forward to seeing what new sides he will show in "The Haunted Palace."

"The Haunted Palace" will premiere as the follow-up to "Buried Hearts" on April 18 at 9:50 PM.
