Uhm Tae-woong Makes Surprise Appearance at 'Yadang: The Snitch' Premiere After 8 Years

Actor Uhm Tae-woong caught everyone's attention by making his first public appearance in about eight years.

On the evening of the 15th, Uhm attended the VIP premiere of the movie 'Yadang: The Snitch' at the Megabox in COEX, Seoul, where he was greeted by a flurry of camera flashes from the press. Typically, a list of attendees is shared with the media before such events, but Uhm's name was not on it, making his appearance a delightful surprise.

His attendance was at the invitation of director Hwang Byung-guk, who helmed 'Yadang: The Snitch.' Uhm and Hwang previously worked together in 2011 on the film 'S.I.U.,' where they formed a strong professional bond.

During a photo wall interview, Uhm expressed his excitement, saying, "I've heard about Director Hwang's preparations for a long time, and the movie seems like it's going to be really fun. I'm looking forward to it."

Uhm has been taking a long hiatus since a personal controversy in 2016. This marks his first official appearance related to a project since the film 'Excavator' in 2017. He was previously invited to the 21st Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival in Estonia for 'Excavator,' where he participated in an official press conference.

Recently, Uhm has been updating fans on his life through his wife Yoon Hye-jin's YouTube channel.
