SUNWOO from the group THE BOYZ has issued a personal apology after facing criticism for allegedly shouting at a security guard when he dropped his wireless earbuds (AirPods).

On the 14th, SUNWOO took to his social media account to express, "I was contemplating how to convey my honest thoughts and feelings properly, and I apologize for the delay in writing this message as I was worried about not being sincere."

SUNWOO stated, "I have been constantly reflecting on my words and actions," adding, "My personal thoughts and irrational behavior distorted the intention of what I wanted to convey. Even though I had no such thoughts, I apologize for not being mindful of my actions, which may have led people to perceive them differently."

He emphasized, "I want to make it clear that this is not just a message to move past the situation." He admitted, "I was unable to respond maturely from the start due to my shortcomings, and my attempts to defend myself from excessive criticism ended up hurting many people."

SUNWOO further explained, "I don't want to ask for forgiveness or claim to be misunderstood. If someone perceived me that way, I need to acknowledge that I might have been that person. Moving forward, I will prove to everyone, including myself, that I am not that kind of person and that I truly value relationships and people's feelings, even if it takes time."

In conclusion, he expressed, "To those who criticized my mistakes and immaturity, to those who were hurt by my actions, and to everyone who supports me, I sincerely apologize. I hope this message conveys my feelings without any misunderstanding."

Previously, SUNWOO was seen dropping his AirPods while moving and shouting "AirPods!" instead of picking them up. A security guard picked them up for him, but SUNWOO was criticized for not expressing gratitude, which sparked controversy online.

In response, on the 12th, senior singer-turned-actress Nana commented, "It's not right to judge someone based on a short video... His behavior seemed very rude and it was quite a shocking video for me," which resonated with many fans.
