The film 'Lobby' is set to make waves beyond its domestic success, as it gears up for a global release.

According to distributor Showbox, 'Lobby' will premiere in Vietnam on April 18th (Friday), followed by releases in Australia and New Zealand on April 24th (Thursday). The film is also scheduled to open in Taiwan at the end of April, and in Mongolia and Japan on July 26th (Saturday). Additional releases are planned for Hong Kong, Malaysia, Indonesia, and other Southeast Asian regions. Furthermore, the film's global in-flight rights have been sold, raising anticipation for its international box office performance.

Veteran distributors are backing the overseas release of 'Lobby'. In the Asian market, GaragePlay, known for its success with films like 'Peninsula', 'The Divine Fury', 'The Outlaws', 'Veteran 2', 'Suzume', 'John Wick 4', and 'Someday or One Day', will handle distribution.

A representative from GaragePlay stated, "We believe that 'Lobby', directed and starred by Ha Jung-woo, will offer Taiwanese audiences a fresh and unique experience. We are eagerly preparing for its release in Taiwan." The global in-flight rights are managed by Emphasis Video Entertainment Ltd., which has distributed various Korean films such as 'The Divine Fury', 'Veteran 2', and 'Hear Me'. The Filmbridge will handle the Mongolian release, having previously distributed 'The Outlaws 4' and 'Pilot', while Runup Vietnam will manage the Vietnamese release, known for distributing 'Revolver'.

The company in charge of international sales, BeolJip Film, expressed, "Director Ha Jung-woo's witty dialogue and the excellent chemistry among the talented cast are likely the foundation of the film's international appeal. It's exciting to see a film that audiences from various countries can enjoy together." This sentiment highlights the special significance of 'Lobby's overseas release.

'Lobby' tells the story of Chang-wook (played by Ha Jung-woo), a startup CEO who knows nothing but research, as he embarks on his first-ever lobbying golf game to secure a 4 trillion won government project. The film is currently enjoying a successful run in theaters nationwide.
