The much-anticipated rematch between Korea and Japan is set to unfold on SBS's 'Kick a Goal.'
In the upcoming episode airing on the 9th, 'Kick a Goal' will reveal the second chapter of the highly anticipated international showdown between Korea and Japan. After a loss in the first match, the Korean team is eager for revenge, while the Japanese team is confident in their winning streak. Both teams have hinted at new player additions, sparking curiosity among viewers about whether these changes will lead to victory.
Last week's episode briefly introduced a new player joining the Japanese team, creating quite a buzz. She is known as a visual member from a legendary Japanese girl group and has participated in 'Produce 48' and 'Queendom Puzzle,' balancing her career in Korea. Excited about her return to Korean TV, she expressed her confidence in her athletic abilities, enjoying sports like surfing, snowboarding, and table tennis. She stated, "As a representative player for Japan, I will give it my all," showing her determination.
The new Japanese team member met with Saori and Mashima for the first time. Saori and Mashima immediately recognized her, unable to hide their surprise. Saori then invited the players to her home, where she handed over the uniform requested by Coach Maezono to the new member. The unveiling of Saori's family home in Japan and the introduction of the new player are drawing significant attention.
Meanwhile, following the opening performance by opera singer Jo Sumi in the first match, the spotlight is now on 'Korean Traditional Music Girl' Song So-hee for the second match's opening show. Formerly a member of FC Wonder Woman, Song So-hee has showcased her impressive soccer skills, earning titles like 'Season 2 Top Scorer' and the nickname 'Song Heung-min.' Her return to 'Kick a Goal' for a special performance, alongside the heartwarming collaboration with Korea's first multicultural children's choir, the 'Rainbow Choir,' adds to the anticipation for the rematch happening six months later.
The identity of the new Japanese team member and Song So-hee's special performance will be unveiled during the Korea-Japan rematch, airing at 9 PM on the 9th on 'Kick a Goal.'
