G-DRAGON Takes Legal Action Against Malicious Comments for the First Time in 19 Years

G-DRAGON has announced his intention to take legal action against malicious online posts. This marks the first time in his 19-year career that he has decided to respond so strongly.

On the 3rd, G-DRAGON's agency, Galaxy Corporation, stated on their official website, "Recently, baseless false information and malicious posts targeting our artist have been spreading indiscriminately through online communities and social media." They added, "This is not just a matter of opinion; it seriously damages the artist's reputation and can cause confusion among fans and the public with misinformation."

The agency further stated, "We are taking these malicious actions very seriously and will proceed with strong legal measures," emphasizing, "The dissemination of false information, defamation, insults, and invasion of privacy are clear illegal acts and can be subject to legal penalties under the Information and Communications Network Act and the Criminal Act."

Previously, in 2023, G-DRAGON had requested a grace period for the removal of defamatory posts, urging people to refrain from posting malicious content.
