Seo Ye-ji's Agency Takes Legal Action Against Online Trolls

Seo Ye-jiThe agency representing actress Seo Ye-ji has provided an update on their legal actions against online trolls.

On the 3rd, Seo Ye-ji's agency, Sublime, shared the current status of their criminal complaints regarding malicious posts and comments directed at the actress.

The agency stated, "To combat the malicious slander, spread of false information, and defamation against Seo Ye-ji, we formed a dedicated team and filed an initial complaint against the trolls at the Gangnam Police Station last January."

They further explained, "Recently, a former staff member who spread false information about Seo Ye-ji has been charged with defamation and referred to the prosecution. Some others, whose identities have been confirmed, will also be referred soon. We will continue to pursue all other offenders to ensure they face strict legal consequences."

The agency also emphasized, "We will continue to monitor online activities and take strong legal action against any criminal acts targeting our artists. We will protect our artist's rights without any leniency or settlements."

Previously, in January, Sublime announced, "As malicious and false posts about Seo Ye-ji are being recklessly spread, we cannot overlook the psychological distress caused to our artist. We have decided to proceed with legal action against the authors of these harmful posts, filing an initial complaint against approximately 130 individuals with the help of a law firm."

Seo Ye-ji made her debut in the 2013 drama 'Potato Star 2013QR3' and gained significant popularity with the 2020 tvN series 'It's Okay to Not Be Okay.' However, her career faced challenges due to various controversies, including allegations of gaslighting her ex-boyfriend, actor Kim Jung-hyun. She returned to the screen in the 2022 tvN drama 'Eve,' but negative comments have persisted.

Seo Ye-ji left her previous agency, Gold Medalist, and signed with Sublime in June of last year.
