Ju Ji-hoon Shares His Approach to Portraying His Character in 'The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call'

Actor Ju Ji-hoon shared that he portrayed his character in 'The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call' in a way that reflects the kind of leadership people desire in real life.

In a photo shoot and interview with the magazine 'Singles,' Ju Ji-hoon discussed his character Baek Kang-hyuk from the popular drama 'The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call.' He remarked, "I thought he was the kind of leader that people might want in reality."

He added, "I viewed 'The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call' as a single entity rather than focusing on my role as the lead. I felt that the balance and harmony among all characters, regardless of their role size, were crucial to the project."

Regarding his co-stars, such as Choo Young-woo and Ha Young, who showcased great chemistry in the drama, he expressed gratitude, saying, "They prepared themselves for the shoots very diligently." He continued, "Their passion was truly admirable. I really hoped they wouldn't feel uncomfortable being around me. As the filming progressed, I could see their growth alongside the storyline, which was both impressive and heartwarming."

Ju Ji-hoon, who debuted in 2006, is approaching his 20th anniversary as an actor next year. When asked about maintaining his unique balance in his acting career, he said, "I try to clearly distinguish between honesty and rudeness. I strive not to be rude, and I aim to communicate necessary messages honestly and efficiently."

Commenting on the assessment that he always knows what he wants and executes his tasks precisely, Ju Ji-hoon stated, "The workplace is all about collaboration. To exaggerate a bit, there's almost nothing you can do alone. When working on a project, it's the result of the hard work of around 100 staff members, so I believe it's only natural to fulfill my role." This statement highlighted his sense of responsibility towards his work.

Having received widespread acclaim both domestically and internationally for 'The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call,' Ju Ji-hoon is currently taking a break while considering his next project.
