TWICE's Dahyun Takes on Acting, Transitioning Between Screen and TV

TWICE's Dahyun[SBS Entertainment News | Kang Sun-ae] TWICE member Dahyun is officially starting her acting career.

Before debuting with TWICE, Dahyun made a strong impression on K-pop fans worldwide by appearing in GOT7's music video for "Stop Stop It," showcasing her fresh and pure image. Since her official debut in 2015, she has gained immense love for her rich expressiveness and overflowing talent through TWICE's content and various television programs. Notably, in September 2023, she displayed more mature and nuanced emotional acting in the music video for DAY6's Young K's solo track "There's Nothing Like This."

As TWICE celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2025, Dahyun is ramping up her acting endeavors. She is set to make her film debut in the movie "The Girl We Liked That Year" (directed by Jo Young-myung), marking the beginning of her new journey.

Scheduled for release on the 21st, "The Girl We Liked That Year" tells the story of Jinwoo (played by Jinyoung), who spends countless days trying to confess to Sunah (played by Dahyun), capturing the essence of first love at eighteen. In this film, Dahyun plays the role of 'Sunah,' a model student with a pure appearance and top grades, awakening the sweet and heartwarming feelings of first love.

According to her agency, Dahyun has more projects lined up following "The Girl We Liked That Year." She has been cast as 'Jieun' in the sports drama film "Full Throttle" (directed by Lee Seung-hoon), which tells the story of people chasing impossible dreams. In this film, she will share the screen with Ha Seok-jin, who plays 'Goo Young,' a sprinter igniting the last flames of his prime.

Dahyun has also confirmed her participation in the new drama "Love Me" (written by Park Eun-young and Park Hee-kwon, directed by Jo Young-min). Joining a star-studded cast that includes Seo Hyun-jin, Yoo Jae-myung, Lee Si-woo, Yoon Se-ah, and Jang Ryul, Dahyun will showcase a different synergy while working alongside seasoned actors. In her first drama role, she will portray 'Ji Hyeon,' who gradually realizes that her long-standing friendship has transformed into love without her even noticing.
