Singer Lady Jane and actor Lim Hyun Tae have announced that they are expecting twins after succeeding on their third attempt at in vitro fertilization (IVF).

On January 10, Lady Jane shared a life update on her YouTube channel.

Sitting together with Lim Hyun Tae, Lady Jane excitedly said, "We have some good news to tell you all today. A very precious life has come to us recently. I'm 12 weeks pregnant with twins," revealing that they succeeded after failing the first two IVF attempts.

For the third attempt, they used PGT (preimplantation genetic testing) before the procedure, transferring only embryos that passed the test to increase their chances of success.

Initially, Lady Jane planned to transfer just one embryo, as she was unsure about raising twins. 

However, on the day of the transfer, the doctor advised transferring two embryos because the thawed condition of the initial one was not so ideal.
Lady Jane stated, "10 days later, my body felt strange. I felt sharp pains in my stomach and thought I might be pregnant. I took a pregnancy test, but it only showed one line, so I threw it away. However, since I still felt different than usual, I checked it again and saw two lines."

An ultrasound later confirmed two gestational sacs. While Lady Jane was initially worried, Lim Hyun Tae shed apparently tears of joy.

Lim Hyun Tae, getting emotional again, said, "My wife went through so much, and I feel both sorry and grateful to her. I've been more emotional these days. Since she's older and petite, I was worried about whether she could handle everything okay."

Comforting her husband, Lady Jane said, "I think letting go of my worries helped the procedure work out," and sent words of encouragement to other couples facing infertility challenges.
 
40-year-old Lady Jane married Lim Hyun Tae, who is 10 years younger than her, in 2023 after seven years of dating. Since last year, the couple had been attempting IVF for their first child.
