[SBS Star] LOONA Chuu Denies Speculations That She Has an Eating Disorder

Chuu of K-pop girl group LOONA clarified the speculations that she has an eating disorder.

On Ocotber 6, Chuu took to her personal Instagram and wrote, "Chuu having an eating disorder, anorexia, and so on. It's totally not true."
She continued, "I wasn't allowed to go out in the past, and I didn't know how to deal with stress right away when I was busy. That's why I didn't take care of my body and ate spicy food."

She added, "Now, more than anyone else, I enjoy working through sports, various hobbies, and conversations with people around me. So I'd appreciate it if you could cheer me on instead of misunderstanding or worrying about me."
The speculations started when the preview for Chuu's appearance on Channel A's TV show 'Dr. Oh’s Golden Clinic' was released.

In the preview, Chuu said, "I eat so much that it's hard for me to breathe. When I'm stressed, I eat like that until I throw up."

She continued, "I once went to the emergency room because my body was stiff (from eating too much). I know that I shouldn't but it's like buying 20 minutes of happiness."
Hearing this, the show's host Dr. Oh Eun-young said, "It sounds like you're hurting yourself."
