[SBS Star] Jung Joon Young's Airport Arrival Photo Wins 'Photo Report of the Month'

Singer Jung Joon Young's infamous airport arrival photo won the '195th Photo Report of the Month' award.

The photo was taken at Incheon International Airport back on March 12, when Jung Joon Young returned to Korea from the United States.

He rushed back to Korea for a police investigation over his allegations of filming and distributing illegal sex videos.
Lee Hyo-kyun of the Korea Press Photographer's Association (KPPA) explained the reason why this photo was chosen.

He said, "It did not win because of its aesthetic. It won because of how the photo realistically portrayed the situation at the airport."
The photographer Kim Chang-hyun of MoneyToday explained how he was able to capture the iconic moment on his camera.

He explained, "I was being pushed so hard, so I was only able to press the shutter. The moment when Jung's hat flew off, I thought, 'Ah! Gotcha.' I fell right after I took the photo."
 
Meanwhile, Jung Joon Young placed under arrest and his case has been forwarded to the prosecution.
