[SBS Star] Yulhee Tells All About the First Time She Met Minhwan to How They Started Dating

K-pop girl group LABOUM's former member Yulhee talked about the time when she met boy band FTISLAND's drummer Minhwan for the very first time as well as how they began dating two years after that.

On April 25 episode of KBS' talk show 'Happy Together 4', Yulhee made a guest appearance.

During the talk, the host Yu Jae Seok threw Yulhee a question, "How did you and Minhwan meet and end up together?"

Yulhee started telling the story, "On the day when we were scheduled to perform at a music show, me and the other members of LABOUM went to the waiting room of FTISLAND. It was a tradition for junior groups/singers to visit senior groups/singers with a new album, so..."She said, "We introduced ourselves to FTISLAND members, but Minhwan didn't even look at us properly. He just coldly greeted us and said nothing in the corner. I wondered why he wasn't paying so much attention to us."

She continued, "We were there for some time and I found myself keep glancing at him. He had basically entered my heart. That's when I thought to myself, 'It would be so great if I could go out with this guy.'"Then, Yulhee explained that she took a quick look at Minhwan every time when they were planned to perform at the same event.

With excitement, Yulhee carried on, "After that day, I kept on going on about how I loved guys who played drums and I even wanted to learn how to play drums."Yulhee went on, "About two years later, I was talking to a friend, and he/she mentioned Minhwan during our conversation. I asked him/her, 'I really would love to meet him. Could you arrange a meeting for me?'"

She wrapped up the story by saying, "So, we met and happened to just click with each other. One day, Minhwan said, 'I'm the kind of person who gives everything to my girlfriend. Will you be mine, Tong-tong?' Tong-tong was my nickname, which he actually still calls me. Anyway, that is how our relationship began." Back in September 2017, Minhwan and Yulhee confirmed their relationship and Yulhee departed from LABOUM shortly after that.

Yulhee's pregnancy was not announced until last May, then about a month later in June, their son Jae-yul was born.

The couple is currently the youngest K-pop idol couple to get married and have a child.
