[SBS Star] Gang Dong Won Becomes a Member of Special Police Unit

Korean actor Gang Dong Won is making people become more eager to watch his upcoming film 'JIN-ROH: The Wolf Brigade' with the first set of publicity stills.

On June 19, several photos of Gang Dong Won during the shooting of 'JIN-ROH: The Wolf Brigade' were unveiled online.'JIN-ROH: The Wolf Brigade' is based on a Japanese animation by Mamoru Oshii, and it is set in 2029 when South Korea and North Korea agree to establish a joint government.

The story focuses on political uprisings on opposing sides which grow fierce when a special police unit is formed to stop the chaos.Gang Dong Won will play 'Yim Joong-kyung', who is a highly-trained member of a special police unit assigned to quell the terrorists.

After 'a girl in a red cape' blows herself up right in front of him, Yim visits her older sister 'Lee Yoon-hee' (actress Han Hyo Joo) to hand her the girl's belongings.

The unexpected encounter, however, makes him sway between his mission that forces him to be a beast and his feeling towards her.Gang Dong Won commented, "I tried to understand the struggle felt by Yim Joong-kyung instead of questioning it. I thought long and hard about this character."

He added, "I believe that I would be able to show a different side of myself through this movie."
