Some details of Korean singer Kim Jong-kook's love life have been unveiled.
On March 25 episode of SBS' variety show 'My Little Old Boy', Kim Jong-kook's friends visited his new house.
A while sitting around talking about Kim Jong-kook's habit of continuing to eat one particular food when he likes it, his friends asked how that worked with his past girlfriends.

Kim Jong-kook answered, "I actually just ate whatever my girlfriend wanted to eat. So, all my ex-girlfriends gained weight when they were dating me."
Then, one of his friends asked, "How long was the longest relationship you were in?".
Kim Jong-kook revealed, "The longest was seven years, and the one after that was six years. I tend to stay with one person for a long time."

When his friends asked why he broke up with them, Kim Jong-kook said, "It's all my fault. I made them wait too long."
The singer explained, "I wanted to perfectly prepare myself for marriage, but I didn't think I was fully ready. I wanted to get married to the person who was beside me at the time when I felt like I was ready."
He continued, "It's all my fault. I'm presently getting punished for what I've done."

After Kim Jong-kook revealed the real reasons why he did not get married, his mother at the studio sighed and said, "I tried to respect him and pretended that I didn't care about his marriage, but only the years went by."
