On June 9, Jung Kyung-ho's agency, Management Allum, announced, "The two recently broke up." Sooyoung's agency, Saram Entertainment, also confirmed the split, stating, "They have decided to remain good colleagues."
Both agencies refrained from sharing specific details regarding the timing or reason for the breakup. However, industry insiders speculate that the two naturally drifted apart due to their busy schedules, leading to their decision to part ways.
As alumni of Chung-Ang University's Department of Theater and Film, the two first met at a church gathering in 2012 and developed feelings for each other. They officially went public with their relationship in 2014 after dating rumors surfaced. Since then, they had openly expressed their affection for one another on broadcasts and in interviews, nurturing their beautiful relationship as a representative long-term couple in the industry.
Having been each other's reliable pillar of support for 14 long years, they have now put an end to their long-standing romantic relationship and chosen to remain colleagues.
Meanwhile, Jung Kyung-ho is currently filming the ENA drama 'Bewitching Romance', while Sooyoung is preparing to shoot the upcoming KBS 2TV weekend drama 'Back to School'.
