Jang Ki-yong & Ahn Eun-jin's 'Dynamic Kiss' Is No. 1 Worldwide ― Here Is Why
We Kissed for No Reason!
"Dynamic Kiss" is on a tear, surging to No. 1 around the globe.

The SBS Wednesday-Thursday rom-com follows a single woman who pretends to be a mom to land a job and the team leader who unexpectedly falls for her. Led by Jang Ki-yong and Ahn Eun-jin, the show kicks off with a kiss and delivers a turbo-charged, dopamine-fueled office romance that’s dominating charts at home and abroad.

Episode 8, which aired on Dec. 4, hit a series-high 7.1% in the Seoul metro area, peaking at 8.5%. It also set a new best in the key 20-49 demo at 2.41%, while topping its time slot across all channels and leading all weekday dramas. Among Thursday programs, it ranked No. 1 in the advertiser-coveted demo.

The heat is global, too. On Netflix’s Global Top 10 (Non-English) for Nov. 24-30, the series claimed No. 1, climbing from No. 3 in its premiere week to No. 2 in week two and No. 1 in week three. With especially strong momentum across Asia and the Americas, its worldwide run shows no signs of slowing.

So what’s the secret sauce? The show leans into a universal truth―love―and pays it off with clean, instantly relatable beats that never drag. Just when viewers think, “This is where it’s headed,” the series delivers that exact payoff with a satisfying, heart-fluttering twist―the comfort-food thrill of a familiar flavor done right.

Credit the snappy, heart-squeezing lines from writers Ha Yoon-a and Tae Kyung-min, the breezy, rhythmic direction by Kim Jae-hyun and Kim Hyun-woo, and the sparkling chemistry of a charming cast. Fronted by Jang Ki-yong and Ahn Eun-jin, with scene-stealing turns from Kim Moo-jun and Woo Da-bi, the ensemble turns every beat into a swoon-worthy moment―catnip for rom-com fans worldwide. Unsurprisingly, the leads’ star power is spiking across international markets.

The series has now crossed its midpoint. Episode 8 ended with a game-changing reveal: Jang’s character learns Ahn’s isn’t married―or a mom―setting the stage for a major shift in their slow-burn office romance. With the biggest obstacle gone, can they finally step into the sunshine―and how many hearts will race along the way?

Riding the K-rom-com wave, "Dynamic Kiss" airs Wednesdays and Thursdays at 9 p.m. KST on SBS and is currently streaming on Netflix.
