Hong Isaac is back today with a brand-new single.
The digital single "Hello, goodbye." arrives Nov. 12 at 6 p.m. KST on all major streaming platforms, marking his first release in about nine months since February’s mini-album "The Lovers Note."
The two-track set features the title cut "Hope You're Doing Well" (literal title) and "My Little Town" (literal title). He filters the tangled emotions born from relationships with others―and with himself―into clean, understated storytelling that feels distinctly his.
Anchored by hushed acoustic guitar and piano, the title track sends a sincere check-in to everyone who once crossed his path. Pluck-like synths and electric guitar add a warm, polished sheen, while his easy, comforting vocal unspools a swirl of remorse, lingering regret, and gratitude.
On "My Little Town)", he imagines his heart as a tiny village. Layers of nylon-string and lap steel guitars steadily build to a cathartic climax, underscoring a lyric that reflects, "In the end, what matters is how you live there"―a quiet acceptance of an imperfect self.
The single signals a more mature chapter in his sound―subtle, autumnal, and lingering long after the last note.
Hong Isaac won JTBC’s "Sing Again 3" in January last year, showcasing a boundaryless range. Since then, he has been active across TV, concerts, and soundtrack work, steadily building a devoted following.
